Modern switchboard upgrade completed by Future Proof Electrical in Newcastle

Switchboard upgrades Newcastle

Modern circuit protection for a safer property.

We inspect and upgrade ageing switchboards with modern safety switches, clear labelling and compliant protection for homes and businesses across Newcastle.

Licensed local electricians

Protect today’s property and make room for tomorrow’s loads.

Older fuse boards often lack individual safety-switch protection and spare capacity. A properly planned upgrade improves protection and prepares the property for additions such as EV charging, solar, induction cooking and air conditioning.

01

Safer circuits

Modern RCBO protection helps reduce risk from electrical faults on individual circuits.

02

Ready for upgrades

We assess capacity for future loads such as air conditioning, solar, induction and EV charging.

03

Clear handover

Circuits are tested and labelled so you know what protects each part of the property.

What we can help with

Practical electrical solutions, completed properly.

Every installation is assessed for safety, compliance and how the property will be used now and in the future.

Real local experience

No mystery circuits and no rushed handover.

A Future Proof switchboard upgrade can include a new load centre, correctly selected main switch, Hager Type A RCBOs, improved earthing, surge protection, asbestos-panel coordination where required, circuit labels, testing and compliance documentation.

Common questions

Helpful answers before you book.

How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?+

Common signs include ceramic fuses, missing safety switches, damaged equipment, frequent tripping, heat marks, poor labelling or no room for new circuits. An inspection confirms what is actually required.

How long does a switchboard upgrade take?+

Many residential upgrades are completed within a day, although mains work, asbestos panels, complex faults or a larger number of circuits can extend the work. Your power will be off during part of the upgrade.

Do you install surge protection?+

Yes. Surge protection can be included in a switchboard upgrade or assessed for a suitable existing board.

Will I receive compliance paperwork?+

Yes. The completed work is tested, labelled and the applicable NSW Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work is provided.
