Electrical switchboard assessment for energy monitoring

Energy monitoring electrician Newcastle

See where your home or business is using power.

Switchboard-based monitoring and practical load visibility for Newcastle homes and small commercial sites—so energy decisions are based on real usage instead of guesses.

Licensed local electricians

Measure first, then decide what is worth changing.

A useful monitoring setup starts with the question you want answered. We identify the main loads, inspect the switchboard and select a compatible monitoring approach that presents information you can actually use.

01

Useful visibility

Whole-property and selected circuit data can show when the major loads run and which habits or equipment drive consumption.

02

Planned around the switchboard

Available space, conductor access, phases, existing solar and the monitoring hardware are checked before installation.

03

A practical handover

The app or dashboard is set up with the customer so the readings, circuits and normal operating patterns make sense.

What we can help with

Practical electrical solutions, completed properly.

Every installation is assessed for safety, compliance and how the property will be used now and in the future.

Real local experience

Connect energy visibility with the electrical work behind it.

Future Proof already works across switchboards, dedicated circuits, EV charging, hot water, pool equipment, smart controls and three-phase loads. Monitoring ties those systems together so future upgrades can be based on the way the property actually operates.

Common questions

Helpful answers before you book.

Is an energy monitor the same as the electricity retailer's smart meter?+

No. A switchboard energy monitor is normally used for customer visibility and selected circuit data. Retailer metering, billing and service-equipment changes are separate and may require the energy retailer, network provider or an accredited service provider.

Will monitoring reduce my power bill?+

Monitoring does not save energy by itself. It shows when and where power is being used so you can identify worthwhile changes, scheduling opportunities or equipment that needs closer investigation.

Can it show EV charging and solar use?+

Often, yes. The available data depends on the charger, solar equipment, monitor, switchboard layout and where current sensors can be installed. We check compatibility before recommending a setup.

Can you monitor a three-phase property?+

Yes, where the selected equipment and switchboard arrangement are suitable. All phases and the loads you want to understand are considered during the assessment.
