Common questions

Helpful answers before you book.

How much does an EV charger installation cost in Newcastle?+

Cost depends on the charger, cable distance, switchboard capacity, single or three-phase supply and whether load management is required. We assess these items and provide a clear fixed scope before installation.

Do I need three-phase power for an EV charger?+

No. A 7kW single-phase charger suits many homes and can comfortably charge most vehicles overnight. Three-phase is useful when the property and vehicle can support faster charging.

Will my switchboard need an upgrade?+

Not always. We inspect capacity, circuit protection and available space first. If an upgrade or reconfiguration is needed, it is explained and quoted before work proceeds.

Can you set up solar-aware EV charging?+

Yes. Suitable chargers such as Zappi and compatible energy systems can be configured to prioritise available solar, subject to the site's metering and CT arrangement.
